Default How do you remove plastic trim on lower door?

I will try to post a pic of what I'm talking about, but its the lower side skirt piece that is on the door, do you have to remove the door panel to take it off or what, I'm getting ready to paint my car and want to check for any rust under that panel and take it off when I paint it, anyone have an idea how to take it off without breaking the clips?
The piece iam talking about is at the bottom of the door, I already removed the lower part that takes like 13 screws to remove if anyone has any idea please let me know or email me. xx1loudmontexx@yahoo.com thanks, I don't wanna have to buy new ones from Honda probably expensive, thanks.

yo;u can pull hard and break clips but you will have to buy new trim or you can remove door panel take a pair of needle nose that are long and curved like an L buy them at autozone squeeze clips and push outward this is a time consuming process helps to have small hands also.

Remember to remove the one bolt holding the trim piece near the edge of the door before taking the plastic trim off.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by xalents23 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Remember to remove the one bolt holding the trim piece near the edge of the door before taking the plastic trim off.</TD></TR></TABLE>
If I am not mistaken there are 2 bolts...one on each side...remove them and then just start poping the plastic trim off.

I'm thinking about just breaking the drivers side since I already broke 2 clips and taking the passanger side off right, does anyone know how much these panels go for at Honda? I plan on painting the car and want to remove these and paint and also check for rust thanks. I will probably just paint the other modeling, the skinny one in the middle of the door.

Looks like #3 and #6, maybe I don't want to break the clips or the whole thing that piece is 105.00 at the dealer

Here is a link to the prices of the clips or the panels if you need to order any. I normally get my OEM stuff from them. Never had any issues wth them.
