Default Decent Sirius receiver?

I'm looking to subscribe to Sirius. Just wondering what receiver was a decent one for not too much money. I have a 2007 Civic LX so I don't have the built-in XM receiver. I do have an aux port, but I've no idea if Sirius receivers utilize it or not. Not planning to pugrade the head-unit either.

There are more then a few good Sirius receivers out there, find one at an authorized dealer for the brand you you get warranty.

I would be willing to bet there is an adapter for the oem AUX port that will allow you to plug in anything you want, just make sure the Sirius receiver you get has a preamp output, you will not need one that has a FM mod built in, although most will.

If your a good shopper you will get the place you buy it from to throw the adapter in on the deal. 94

So the receivers generally cannot plug into an aux port without an adapter? My aux port is the 3.5 stereo plug. I'm looking at either the Sirius Sportster 5 or Starmate 4 units.

It looks like the "preamp" output from the unit is 3.5mm stereo phono jack. go to Radio Shack and pick up a, " 2.5 stereo plug." cut the RCAs off the adapter that comes with the car kit... http://shop.sirius.com/edealin...entID= and terminate a proper jack to the lead, or just pick up a left/right female RCAs to the proper size stereo phono jack that fits your car. 94

Typed wrong. It's actually a 3.5 jack.

A $1.99 will get you a male 3.5mm jack that you can terminate to the adapter that comes with the car kit, [once you cut the RCAs off].

For $1.00 you can get one of these... http://cgi.ebay.ca/3-5mm-Stere...wItem oh, and another $3.00 for shipping. 94
