Speakers arent getting any signal!!!
So my gf just bought a 96 civic, the car was once hooked for audio competitions. The sound was ran through the amps they used but she doesnt want to use an amp we didnt get it with the car. I heard that you can switch it back to normal with the deck sending sound straight to the speakers, im curious to know how to do that. Thanks
It will depend on how the speakers are wired, if it was used for competition I would assume the speakers are wired directly from the amps, but you may get lucky and find they are wired from the amp to behind the HU and into the stock speaker wiring.
Either way you will need to pull the HU out of the dash to start the rewiring.
What is the make and model of the HU?
This may help in removing the HU... http://www.installdr.com/Insta...3.pdf
Here is a wire guide for the stock radio harness, [hopefully they used a harness adapter]... http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/HA-Wiring.pdf
If the speaker leads are run directly to the speakers, [from the amp] you will have to reconnect the HUs speaker leads, [at the back of the HU] and remove the speakers and reconnect the stock speaker leads to the speakers.
