89 CRX electrical problem, help please..
wow that sounds like a few different problems maybe.
do you have a multimeter? have you checked your battery voltage when this happens?
Is your main relay working? when you turn the ignition to the on position you should be able to hear it click, and also the hum of the fuel pump as it primes the lines.
have you tried another battery or starter?
get a multimeter and figure out wether is the starter or battery/alternator, and theres something else wrong if you cant push start it.
Has your check engine light come on?

try to get your battery up to par first, then check the other things.
and that definately sounds like a bad /intermittent main relay, just like the one I had for 4 years
. I was always turning the ignition on and off on and off just waiting for the fuel pump, damn that was annoying.
To check for a short you can get a test light, and with the negative battery cable dissconnected hook the light to a good body ground and the negative battery post. if you have a short or draw the light should be glowing. start pulling your fuses one by one to see what curcuit it is on, it will shut off when you find it.
