I agree. I've installed quite a few of the JDM visors - DC2 Integra, DA Integra, EK Civic - and they all fit perfect.
The Integra visors use brackets that clip into the window frame, then screw into the visor. Once it's installed, and if done correctly, they WILL NOT come off. The visor will crack and break before coming off the door frame.
The aftermarket ones are simply held on by double stick tape.

reason i say the vent shade visors suck *** is because they aren't held on with anything. they slide into the window channel and share the same space with your window.
so when you roll up your window, the visors are already in there and make it hard for the window to roll up. sometimes, you can't even roll your window all the way up cuz the visors get in the way.
over all, their ***. pure ***.

are you speaking from experience? or what you believe?
speaking from experience, the ventshades are a good alternate route for those who don't want to drop 200 bucks on the price tag... I've rocked ventshades on a few of my vehicles and so have some of my buddies.
if there the ones that are in channels which i know there's one brand that tucks behind the mirror and there's one that sits atop of the base of mirror, I've had both and neither have ripped off on the freeway at "high speed" like everyone assumes they would, even after washing the cars...
you'd think the 3m tape would lose it's integrity but it doesn't at all...
granted the oem ones would be the preferable way to go, if you just want the look but not the price tag bro by all means go for them there not a bad investment at all

so you didn't really use them?
i'm not tryin to start some oem vs. ventshade debtate similar to the authentic vs. rota
just saying certain things work for certain peoples budgets, and if the ventshades weren't that great than why would some dealerships offer them as an add-on

Because dealerships will sell anything remotely car related in order to make a buck.

yeah, ventshades will work for some, and not for others. unfortunately for me they didnt work and i ended up losing 15 bucks just to find out.
im just puttin this out there, from my experience, do things the right way the first time.

found this thread on google.
The ventshade ones suck because they use 3m tape (which is strong as hell by the way) and you will basically destroy your doors. The 3m stuff does not come off easily. I think im going to have to sand and repaint my doors now!!
Also, makes a hell of a lot of wind noise, since they aren't exactly streamlined.
