Default Car wont start after simply pulling plug wire and re installing it...

So a buddy of mine was inspecting my rough idle on my LS b18 and he was pulling plug wires from my distributor and on the third wire he pulled it and the idle dropped like it did on the other two and then when re installing it the car shut off and will not start... the engine now has no spark! When turing the key over the spark plugs dont spark!! Ignition coil tested good, the ignition fuse is not blown IM STUCK!!! HELP!! thanks!

Kinda sounds like something shorted when replacing that wire. Try checking more fuses. Also, it's possible a blown fuse will look okay. I've had numerous glass fuses screw me over for hours before checking with a meter. Try using an ohm meter on em.

i think someone about 2 months ago did this and he replaced something in his distributor, but i'm not sure what it was. try searching and see what you come up with.

i had this problem after doing a compression test a while back... i ended up frying the coil in the distributor.

so replace the coil with someone elses that you know works, and if thats not the problem then check the cap/rotor, and be sure that the spark plugs are on tight, and as a last resort i'd check the main relay(if your not getting fuel either), and of course it could be a bad fuse also...

hope this helps

well there are multiple components in the distributer your ICM coil cap rotor... Its expensive to do the whole thing and ignorant.. I tested the coil and from re positave terminal to the output spring I only got 11000 ohms. The minimal should be 12800 to 16000 so I'll be replacing it. I'll let you guys know how it goes..
