Look at the Integra FAQ thread for the code list.

well, there is a lot of good info here but no P1399 code!! from what i have been discovering is that it is a model specific code that honda/acura has added for certain vehicle. alldata quoted by someone else says "Honda does not supply a diagnostic flow chart for this code. P1399 is a random misfire code and Honda/Acura has reported for various models that this could be caused by clogged EGR ports. In addition there is the possibility that the valve cleareance specification may be out of range. "

so thats what i have. i guess thats as good as it gets

I had a p1300 and p1399 codes. Both had to do with random misfire and ignition problems. Changed my crankshaft position sensor cause I had some metal shaving fall onto it when I was retapping one of my motor mount threads and those shavings scared up the sensor. So you may want to do a tune up, valve adjustment, compression test, and if that doesn't solve your problem, look into the crankshaft sensor and clear it off. But only change that as a last resort cause it is pretty expensive.

not really, it mysteriously went away! so basically it could be many things. I started messing around with the butterfly valve on the manifold and zip tied it open and it has not missed since. i think i may have been running too rich under load and allowing that valve to be open all the way all the time let in more air, possibly fixing my problem. All i know is that it hasn't missed since that.

All P1399 is is a honda way of saying random misfire. nothing specific.

I have the same codes on a '97 Accord (yes I know this is an Integra forum, but i'm trying all avenues to fix the problems I have...). I've replaced all the quick and easy ones - plugs, wires, dizzy and rotor, even the fuel injectors, and still I'm having problems. I haven't looked into the crankshaft position sensor, still need to do that.

I also found some information that these codes could point to a bad EGR valve, vacuum leak, or a weak ignition coil - see http://www.aa1car.com/random-misfire/

Hope that helps

I doubt that it would be a CKP sensor. if that failed you'd have no start at all. EGR or vacuum leak may be on the right track tho

I'm in the process of procuring an EGR valve, I'll let you know how that goes

Ended up not being my EGR valve, but clogged EGR ports. Cleaned those out, the car has been running fine since

Any idea what would cause that CEL in GSR non-egr model?

From the research I've done, these misfire codes, especially the random misfire code (P1399) can be the result of a whole slew of different issues. A mechanic I spoke to thought I was crazy for looking into the EGR valve/ports, because you can completely remove the EGR valve and run the engine without it (I suppose the ECU would freak out if it was programmed to be receiving a certain amount of exhaust gas and wasn't getting any...)

My advice is to try/trouble shoot with the distributor cap, rotor, plugs, wires, fuel injectors, and timing. If the EGR ports didn't solve my problem then I would have then checked the timing (which I did the same time I cleaned out the EGR ports, and my timing was good).

Hope that helps....I feel your pain. I was getting very frustrated with that P1399 code
