Default '89 SI Gauge Issues

Okay, I bought an '89 CRX SI last summer. The owner before me put a 90-91 SI cluster and bezel in the car. He rewired a couple pins, however everything works except the temp gauge. My concern is the fact that the defroster doesn't work because the plug carries a different adapter. I have two questions. Does anyone had a photo of a TRUE 89 CRX SI cluster. I've seen so many variations, and I'm not sure which one is the right one. Second, can I use the 88-89 bezel with the 90-91 cluster. I can get one for $15, but want it to fit. If I can, I will be able to use my defroster and dimmer, which is all I care about.

There are 2 different manufacturers of clusters and the wiring is different. If by bezel you are talking about the speedo cover that attaches to the dash then you need the one for the year cluster you have.... either 88-89 or 90-91. the cluster shape is different between the two. If you are trying to find thea good cluster, look for one from the same year as the one you have and the same manufacturer. It will either have an NS or an ND stamped on the back.
