Default member: silverTC sent me wheels in a diffrent condtion than he desctibed!!!!HELP!!!!

here is the original thread...

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2239581

this is some of what i saved after i received the wheels....all of the other PM's where lost because of HT timed deletion....

what was said in the previous PM's was the main part of the condition, "IN perfect cond. no scratches, curbs, never been driven on just tires mounted on them!!!!"

and of course a price....

"(12:02 AM 3/15/2008) Silvertc: lol np let me know when they get there!
(9:27 AM 3/15/2008) 88civic: will do you!
(5:16 PM 3/19/2008) 88civic: I got the wheels today....but two of the wheels have some scratches it looks like they where from shipping!!! like the cardboard rubbed on them... it tried to buff them with some compound but it looks like they are though to metal... ill get pics tonight!!! to see what you think!
(5:35 PM 3/20/2008) 88civic: hey man iam being very patient with you!!! the wheels were promised as being in perfect cond. and they are NOT! I have had a wheel shop look and buff what scratches they could, and there is still one deep set of scratches that they were NOT able to get out, they only way to fix it is to have it painted and even then it will not look the same...........I have pics of the damaged wheel and would like to hear from you soon so we can settle this!!!!!
thanks
Bill!
(6:05 PM 3/20/2008) Silvertc: hey man, sorry i just got on h-t today and saw the message. If you could get me pictures of the rims. They were PERFECT when they were shipped so im trying to figure out how the card board scratched it. But please get me pictures
(6:08 PM 3/20/2008) Silvertc: also did you get tires mounted already? maybe the people who installed tires scratched rims...But just try to get me pictures, these were never dropped, scratched, driven on, NOTHING done to damage. They were and should be PERFECT...
(10:31 PM 3/20/2008) 88civic: Yeah they are scratched and no my tire guy did not do it, the pics are taken about 15 outta the box!!! It was NOT my tire guy..... I was excited to see the box on my door step when i got home form work....until i opened the top to see the top rim messed up and then the second one and so on....kinda frustrating....well anyways here are the pics!!!!!

the worst one:http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...3/P3190131.jpg
this is the second one down:http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...3/P3190130.jpg
third one:http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...3/P3190133.jpg
and last rim on bottom of box:http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...3/P3190132.jpg

I think i payed top dollar for these rims in great used cond. since they went for like 509.and change new shipped!!!! so to sum it all up really disappointed!
(10:33 PM 3/20/2008) 88civic: so i got my wheel guys to buff on the bottom two wheels and got most of the scratches out but the top two they did not want to touch since i told them these wheels where no longer obtainable!!!!!!! but i don't blame them!
(10:34 PM 3/20/2008) 88civic: if you want to see the full size img. i will post in the original thread!!
(4:59 PM 3/21/2008) 88civic: soooo.....what do you think???
(10:44 PM 3/21/2008) 88civic: you still around? just wondering what your going to to about this for me!!!

thanks "

I payed through paypal and have filed a dispute with them and waiting for Silvertc to respond....as I am waiting for him to respond on here on HT!!!!

please bump

thanks bill!!!!

oh this would be me you speak of? You told me that when you got these rims they were scratched. They were 100% clean when i shipped them. I put them all in one box and separated EACH RIM WITH CARD BOARD. You told me that they were scratched from shipping by the card board? Please post the pictures and see what H-T thinks about the scratches man, those were by NO MEANS scratched by card board! Do not get on here and post telling people I am a bad seller/buyer. I obviously do care or else i wouldnt have posted. DO NOT TRY TO GET ON HERE AND MAKE ME LOOK LIKE THE BAD GUY. I have many vouches for the wheels being NEVER driven on, dropped or anything to damage. I still to this day am trying to figure out how you claim they were scratched....

as you can see they are messed up!!!!! and the pics are taken 15 min outta the box... and you asked if my tire guy messed them up and i said no....these are face scratches not lip...although there are lip scratches i did not complain about because the face scratches are more important than the lips... if you would have said yes the damage is form shipping on the PM's i sent you then yeah we could have sent a claim to UPS....so is that the route you want to take!!! let me know!!!!

if you say its couldn't have been anything else then from shipping, then i think we should take the UPS route. I do not in anyway want bad feedback for something YOU or I did NOT do.., when UPS should be held responsible..

stop ranting dude.. Not everyone gets on honda-tech every 15 minutes..

Just paint or polish your knock-off wheels and call it a day..

I am sure you can figure something out, and I doubt this seller would try to rip you off.

i didnt read the rest of this thread but simply the first post. file a claim with the shipping company. those def look like cardboard scratches. ive shipped and received wheels for about 2 years and this is a common occurance. believe it or not, cardboard will act as a sandpaper. especially if there is some dirt in there. which looks like thats what the case is.

up for this guy.... that SURELY doesnt look like the sellers fault.... hopefully you purchased insurance
