h22 swapped crx not starting...
Sup yall,
a buddy of mine swapped an h22 in his crx.
he got everything he needed to make the swap work, or so i think.
doesnt start...
replaced distributor, no start.
replaced fuel pump, no start.
very nice consistant cranks, but no start.
we are both stumped, and need all the help we can get.

new ecu, all grounds are good, main relay good, spark on all 4. himself and i and along with other honda gurus' are stumped. we hope its nothing internally... thanks for the help yall. any other suggestions gentlemen?
is it a jdm h22 or a usdm h22? the usdm h22 uses an external coil and you cant just plug and play with that. the jdm h22 uses an internal coil like the stock crx motor and is easier to get going.
I had the same problem when I swapped my h22. Cranking but no start. I had to run cut a wire on the dizzy to run to the coil and it fired up and ran perfect.

Can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on?
What conversion harness are you using.
Did you leave the resistor box hooked up? The H22 can use the same resistor box as the CRX. You dont need to cut the wires and splice them together like other obd-1 swaps.

Then thats your problem. The ludes use a resistor for the injectors, without it you wont go anywhere. You have to swap to MPFI when doing pretty much any swap into DX.
