Default Tokico Blue vs Koni Red vs KYB GR-2 for OE Replacement

I'm asking this for my friend... she needs new shocks on her 96 LS w/ like 90K (original shocks hehe)...I told her I was very happy w/ my Koni Yellows and Eibach sportlines.. but she said she's not looking to drop her car or have adjustability.. she just wants something that will replace the original (blown) shocks and that maybe performs a little better...

between the Tokico Blue, Koni Red, KYB GR-2, Bilstein .. or feel free to list your suggestions.. what would you get if you were her? she wants a good performing shock that doesn't cost a lot that won't blow out quickly... I'm sure all of them are pretty decent w/ stock suspension since she's just looking for OE replacement but just wanted some input from those who have used any of these since she won't get the Koni Yellows that I suggested...

well....bilsteins are good...so are the tokico blues...konis are kinda pricey...especially if she's just wanting a better performing OEM replacement. KYBs (GR-2??) aren't bad either.

I think the GR-2's are the cheapest....but I'd suggest the Tokicos (I have them) or the Konis (can't go wrong with Koni)

thanks for your input.. yeah I just put in GR-2 struts on a Camry V6 (stock suspension) last weekend and they seem to perform well for OE replacement and they were cheap too (like $40/ea) but since that wasn't on a teg.. just wondering what other peoples experiences were on their teg w/ the above shocks... Lolz she has 90K on her stock shocks.. anything is bound to be better than her existing shocks... yeah I told her to get Koni's like me but she doesn't want to spend that much and she doesn't need adjustability...

anyone have links to places w/ good prices (and customer service) on any of the above shocks? I got my Koni Yellows from http://www.shox.com so I guess I'll see how much their charging but if you guys have any links (or places in so cal) let me know...

Lolz this is going to be my 14th or 15th spring/shock install..

well thanks and every1 else if you have used any of these shocks on your teg keep the suggestions/input coming... (bleh y won't she just get the Koni's like me/like I told her to Lolz it would be easier that way)

Installing Tokico blues or KYB GR-2's will be easier than installing Koni Yellow shocks (however they will all be a PITA when putting stock springs back on). I would go w/ GR-2, just stay away from the Monroe and other cheap "wal-mart" shocks, etc.

I my Koni reds. Ive had my car slammed on them before and theyre fine. Ive got prolly about 15-20k on them.
they ride very well and handle good also. The reds are adjustable, just not externally. Im not even quite sure on how to adjust them.

You have to compress the piston all the way and then turn it to adjust. But this thread isn't really asking about adjustable shocks so I think even Koni Reds would be a waste of money.
