Default EK yellow squares on my 96 soL.

first off this is my 96 del soL s. i had a 98 civic with the yellow ek4 style foglights. before i sold my civic i took the fogs off cuz i wanted 2 see if i could squeeze em in on my soL. here are the results.

my car

remove bumper

take the black covers off

test fit the fog, with out the casing or outer shell.

trim necessary tabs. i didnt cut the parts out that hold the black cover on just incase i change my mind later i can still put them back on.

wiggle the fog in there. reinstall the casing or cage. i could only get 2 screws to fit, and it made the foglight pretty snug. when you reinstall the bumper, the foglight gets pressed between the fog and the core support.

admire what u did

i didnt completely reinstall the bumper, or align the fogs because u can see in some of the pics im in the process of shaving the reflectors.
lmk what u guys think

I usually like DIY, but not so much in this case.

way to big width wise.

Fogs look ok, I'd just try to shave the fogs to fit the bumper better.

Looks like the fitment is going to suck. You should put the cool racing stripes back on your car while you're at it.

BTW: Yellow fogs are ricey and FTL

Looks good I think.. I donno what everyones crying about. You might wanna paint in behind the fog black where the red is showing in that hole.. and if youre doing work on the exterior, shaving the marker lights on the side of the bumper and the licence plate bolting holes would be a nice look......

thanks for the comments guys, for the good an the bad. i like how they look, fitment is tight. i ended up breaking one of the lenses on accident
so i think im g2 try out the ek4 circle fogs instead.
the stripes were on the car from the original owner, but i plan on repainting it very soon.
