I am in the process of looking for an integra shell to work on. I recently found one. The owner emailed me today and this is what he said,

" I have an integra shell you might be interested in! Freshly stolen ____________from ________, and stripped and dumped in _______ thursday mornin'. It is a 1999 GSR hatch that had 60,000 miles on the engine, and still does on the body. Red body. all glass good. Will need wheels, rear bumper, passenger door, front and rear seats, ignition, headlights, both fenders tail lights and gauge cluster...and of course the engine and tranny. Let me know ASAP if you want it, I will be retrieving it from da impound lot near the St. Paul airport, and bringing it back home to east bethel. I would like to get $1000 for it."

He also said, "The title is clean and will remain that way because it wasn't full coverage insurance. I am firm on the price. I see 92-95 civic hatch shells going for $800ish and 94-01 integra shells going for $1500. It will only take $500 in used parts to make the car look nice again.."

I know that it would NOT cost $500 to make it look nice again. My question is the so called "frame" worth $1000???????

 

besides the missing parts, is it crashed or rusted or anything...if not 1000 sounds not to bad but i will try to low ball him to at least 900...and no it will not take 500 to make it look nice...

 

I sold my shell for $650, it had tein springs, old school sunflowers, gsr dash-cluster, seats, 2000 rear bumper, and it only had a few dents, I would consider looking around for a while longer, you might get someone with a good deal like the one that i had up for grabs!

 

any other opinions?

 

uh no not really, good luck finding a decent shell, its not easy finding a clean title shell...
