That's always hard to deal with. Back to H-T attitude -->Those pics suck. Cannot tell if those houses are part of the dent, etc. Take a straight on, and then the side shot again without bulls~ behind it! Doesn't matter how much, sue her in court, or get her insurance to pay for it. HER FAULT.

i dont think it would matter who it was or how i knew them if they hit either of my cars. they;d owe the damages. In this particular case, she should never have been behind the wheel. the reason she didnt see you car isnt b/c its "too low" its b/c she has no formal driving training.

Legally.....her parents will have to pony up and pay.

It just depends on if that relationship with them is important to you.

It wont be cheap to have it done right.

her parents insurance will have to pay, end of story. it's their car and they allowed her to drive it. that's why we have insurance and that's how it works.
maybe their rates will go up a little, but it shouldn't ruin a friendship. that's what insurance is for, use it. give their insurance info to your insurance company, and they will take care of the rest. good luck

 

Only thing I could think to diy fix it would be those weld on plugs and a slide hammer, and mass off dolly hammering. Glass should smooth out the rest, if she doesn't have a license the fact it was in a parking lot shouldn't matter much. Get Johnny Law involved.

 

those panels look like they've been worked on before. I'd say you were looking at 500-800 to fix it.

 

If i ran into a friends car i would definitely offer to pay. Does she just expect not to pay or something because she knows you? :/

That sucks man same thing happen to me not too long ago the trailer hitch cracked my front bumper and broke my driver side bumper lens so i feel your pain

 

honestly i dont think it'll be much. go check out your local earl-sheib if u have one im sure they could handle it cheap

 

And i was just getting ready to buy my jdm front end and this happens. The paint i know it looks like **** if you can tell by pic (HOMEMADE $50 PAINT JOB) but i didnt have any big dents on car like that all i was going to do was put jdm front and paint it at bodyshop but now i think it will a little more with dent

 

A Friend of mine backed into my car a few months back also. At the time she was having serious car problems, she had just nearly totaled her car, and then with her rental car she backed into my car while talking on her cell phone .

but I tried to take it easy on her because, Firstly I valued the friendship more( and I really love my car). second I trusted that she would infact pay me back, and she did .

so ask your self how good of a friend she is, and if she is old enough and mature enough to deal with it.

Or you could just give her an ultimatum. tell her she can deal with it the easy way or the painfull expensive way.

ya i was thinkin the same thing did that thing used to be blue? like the hf color blue?

 

nah the car has always been black its just that in that spot there was some dings and they had fixed them and primed that spot thats the reason i did a $50 paint job
