sounds like a ground leak somewhere...

good reason to make a battery kill switch.

Try removing the negative battery cable and then touching it to the negative post. Listen to see if you hear any noises coming from the car when it is put back on. If you do locate where the sound is coming from and you can find the problem.

ill try the multimeter too. This is sudden for some odd reason. Seemed like it was coming from my sound system at first. My room mate told me he noticed a blue flashing light in the back of my car. He tohught it was a bomb when he peered in and saw the digital display on my capacitor. So i tohught maybe the capacitor/sound system was drawing power.

completely disonnected the sub, amp, and capacitor from the battery, charged my battery and tohught all was fine once i got the battery charged enoguh to start the car on its own. 2 hours later i try starting my car and the battery is completely dead again.

can the altinator do any kind of drain when the car isnt in use? while driving its never been a problem at all. And after jump starting the car it runs fine, doesnt lose power, and can start up on its own but given time its all dead again.

That is the same problem I had, that is why I suggested listening for noises when touching the negative cable to the post.

yep, when I bought my car it had the radio wired directly so it was always drawing power, I wired it to the right cable and now it's good, check your fuse box for wires done ghetto and anywhere else
