Default My STI Project: "The Face Melter"

Bought the car in 2005, it replaces my 1995 Integra GSR

Modded it since day 1, and just recently put on some of the "final" mods.

Garrett GT3076r A/R .82
44mm EWG
850cc injectors
FMIC
Methanol injecton, 12 gph injector

etc!

THE BEFORE:

Left work in southern Mass At 4:15 PM friday, picked up mah dog at home, and drove to maine to use my parents heated 3 bay garage.

Got to parents at 8:40 PM. Ate leftovers. Friend showed up at 10 and we got to work.

2 of us worked 10-3:30 am, and a friend came and helped 12-2

Saturday we got up at 9, worked 10 am till 1:30 pm, with 2 friends coming to help 11-4

sunday we worked 9 am till noon and finally finished. 50-60 man hours!!!!!! We suck time-wise cause, but we do good work.

Stock TMIC vs new FMIC

engine bay with tmic off, stock turbo and my short ram intake.

The work space

new IC piping

bumper off, new beam attached, my boy mike who helped me ALLLLL WEEKEND

sharpie rammed in the coolant hose to stop it from pissing out, trying to remove intake mani. EVERYTHING is attached to it, throught it, under it, on it. EVERYTHING.

My friend Justin (he bought my GSR!) underneath trying to remove the downpipe.

new gt3076R with tial 44mm ewg on left, stock vf39 with IWG on right, hot side.

gt30 left, vf39 right, cold side

mike and justing STILL trying to get intak mani off

using torch to break the O2 sensor free. ***** fought me, but I WON. :madfawk:

Intake mani off

**** you intake mani!

stock intake riser with TGV (tumble generate valves for cold start emissions vs ported risers, I believe flow is 350 cfm vs 600 cfm)

A little PnP on the stock intake mani, mostly cleaning up and gasket matching.

New snail in place

Intake mani back in

FMIC mounted

Test fitting

DONE. LIP was cracked by a tow trick, and new one is on the way. JDM foglights dont fit, so those are for sale, and I have ordered the fog covers again, wish I hadnt sold mine!

FINISHED PRODUCT

The plots!

and VIDEO!

http://video.google.com/videop...hl=en

search "xrocket21" on youtube for more vids before the turbo (dragging, donuts, auto-x, etc)

And a honda to keep it relevant!

It was terrible, there was ~ 8" in the passing lane, I was sick, and it was a 6 hour drive to upstate NY. People were going 30 mph, and I HAD to pass, my lip was plowing snow and spraying it up over the winshield, I could barely see. When I got by though, it was smooth sailing at like 50. Possibly the worst weather I have ever driven in.

That intercooler looks so good, but that engine bay looks like a PITA to work on.

I feel for you, i stopped by a friends house when he had his STI apart and it looked like a pain in the *** to work on. Very nice outcome with the car, lovin it.

Just curious...do they sell any hoods for wrx/sti without the scoop?
