Hesitation issue - B16A in EF
I just purchased a 1990 Civic Si hatch with a B16A. I believe it is OBD0. It hesitates up to about 5k under partial or full throttle. I did a few searches and read a few threads, but I didn't find anything on this topic in particular (B16 in an EF). However, from what I have read it looks like it could be several things including: distributor, switched 02 sensor wires, timing, and/or a fuel pump. If anyone could tell me which things I should troubleshoot first I would appreciate it. Thanks!
i have / had the same problem
im pretty sure its the o2.
Ive tried an ECU , Dizzy , and everything else except the o2 so im pretty sure its that
hope this helps

Ok I will check the o2 wires first. Could someone explain where the tp sensor is located? Is this something that is manually adjusted or will I need to buy a new one?
Also, after driving the car more it seems the hesitation issue is mainly in the first three gears, and there isn't any hesitation at all after 5,500 rpm when the car is in VTEC. I don't know if this changes anythign but I thought I would throw it out there. Thanks!

Basically your O2 sensors are hooked up backwards -- I've written out a few long explanations in the last couple weeks but everyone uses different keywords so they are hard to find on a search. Switch the O2 sensor wires and you are good to go. If you want to know why, read the thread above.
Edit: this one too.

He switched his TWO O2 sensors -- you need two in order to switch them. All the info you need has already been written -- you can't get answers from text without reading it. Give it a try and if there is still any confusion, then ask some questions.
