I've got a 1991 Honda Accord 4banger, standard.I've noticed recently that hours after it had been driven the fan is still going.I live in the North East and it's still pretty cold out so don't understand why it's still running?Just wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this problem before and what i can do to fix it before the battery takes a dump?
Normally, the fan should run about 15 minutes after the engine stopped the temperature is above 223F. If it run much longer than 15 minutes, check:
1. #30 fuse in under-hood fuse/reply box.
2. #2 fuse in under-dash fuse/relay box.
3. #7 fuse in under-dash.
4. Engine Coolant temperature (ECT) swicth B that is located behind the water outlet housing. NOT the one in t-stat housing which is ECT A.
5. If all above are right, maybe a faulty Radiator Fan Control Module or a faulty diode. The Radiator Fan Control Module and the diode are located on the driver's side under the dash.

Quick diagnose, when you shut off the engine [when it isn't really hot] and the fans are running, open the hood and follow the top radiator hose back to the head outlet. You'll see a sensor there [2 wire] unplug it; if the fan shuts off you've found the problem. Temp switch B
