As in miles per gallon, or miles driven?

The most miles driven you can get is the point the engine totally craps out on you, and that depends on wether you abuse it or maintain it properly.

Are you seeking Volvo badges? My '97 GSR has low mileage: 74000mi.

It all depends on how you drive your car and maintain it. My buddies accord was at 290,xxx and still had some life in it but then he totaled it.

I sold it some years ago, but my '90 Civic Si had over 265,000 miles on at the time. Used about 1/2 to 3/4 quart oil between 5000 mile change intervals. Compression was 188-192 on all 4 cylinders. No external leaks. All original except of course for T-belt, water pumps, and spark plugs. I should have kept it.

I was looking to buy an Integra a couple months ago and I test drove a 1996 LS with 290K. It was 100% bone stock, one owner and she was an old lady.

I tell you, the car felt like it just rolled out of the factory yesterday. She said the only thing she has done is regular maint and change the axle boots and radiator.

If the car is well maintained (Think old lady original owner) It should last forever.

I agree with well maintained, i just got an integra with 262k on it, drives fine, got power, the heat and all the lights and even the cig lighter works still.

If you can get someone that really did all the work when they were supposed to, whether its replacing this or that or doing the timing belt on time, its means the world to a honda.

-this teg has 260,000 miles, it runs great,
-i had a green accord that had about 136k miles on it, a week after purchase the motor blew a whole in one of its pistons, the kid before me had raced it , like a lot

so its all about who had it before you and how nice they were to it

friend has a 94 ls 5speed with 215k miles. only had the power steering pump show signs of wear. another friend has a 92 gs with 160k on the clock. both of these cars run fantastic with original drivetrain(maybe except clutch). my 01 teg has 64k miles. runs like a champ.

A friend of mine has 1,000,000 km's on an A18 block Accord.. (third gen).

I had 2 third gen accords, one at 268,000 before it died (no oil changes for over 5 years, just "topping up", randomly.. Sister driven) - and another was 247,000 km's before it got scrapped cus the body was done..

My Integra has 197,000 km's .. No problems.. 170-175 compression across ..

Ive seen some Hondas reach 300k easily just routine maintenance done.

Change your timing belt and water pump when need be and change your oil.

A buddy of mine has an ek automatic with 230,000 on it, engine is good, but the trans is starting to shift really hard. He abuses the hell out of it though. That car has been off roading and neglected, but still runs.

Everyone I talk to tells me I can get around 300,000 from my LS if i dont trash her. Ive had that number in my head for almost half a year. its a good number to hope for cuz Im hardly a 3rd of the way there.
