Default cable/hydro clutch question

OK fellas, here is the question. I have a 1994 GSR motor that im putting back into the integra (dc2 chassis) Awhile ago a buddy of mine bought a DA ls integra. There was an extra clutch sitting in the back seat, so i kept it.

Ive been fitting it to the flywheel and it bolts right up, lines up perfect and everything, the splines are the same too. The only thing that doesnt look right is the release bearing.

Here is where the question lies. Is the cable and hydro clutch pretty much the same, minus the release bearing obviously? Everything looks good, im just trying to make sure.

thanks

Well, correct me if im wrong, but im pretty sure 90 - 93 are cable. 94+ b series are hydro. I believe the clutch is for a 90-93 cable tranny.

hmmm..

Clutch will bolt up, but will not fit tranny.
Release bearing will work
All release bearings are interchangeable
All pressure plates hydro/cable are interchangeable
Not the clutch disc itself

The pressure plate covers the clutch disk. How would the clutch not fit the tranny, but the pressure plate will?

Maybe im mis-understanding what you wrote..

i'm gonna try to explain a couple different ways, since your new at this(i can tell)

u can use any pressure plate, hydro or cable

The disc is where all the difference makes
u can use any disc, pressureplate combo, but if the clutch disc itself dosen't have the right splines, it won't work
u can bolt up a clutch and pressure plate, but if the splines on the clutch disc don't line up your f%cked
are u understanding now
its all about what clutch disc u use, the clutch disc will fit any b-series flywheel and pressure plate, will bolt all bolt up to the flywheel, but u won't be able to slide the tranny in because the splines on the shaft are different.

easy way to tell if u have your tranny out, try to slide the disc only on the tranny see if it fits, don't think just because u have the disc ,pressure plate all bolted to the flywheel its gonna work, cause if the splines inside the disc are different then the tranny it won't work, the disc itsself has to be meant for the year of the tranny, but at the same time u can use any pressure plate on a cable or hydro disc, get my drift, its all about the inside splines on the disc.
If u don't understand what i'm saying, someone else take over for me please.
