what race fuel do you use on your turboed honda
I have an integra that im hoping to make about 600 horsepower at the wheels. Ive seen many blends from trick sunoco and vp
are they worth the money and how much power gains can you expect. Im wanting to run c16 or the new q16 but there isnt any local just 2 gallons in stock so im debating to just run 114 or 119 trick
has anyone dynoed the difference in power when running these exotic fuels cuz the vp 116 is almost twice the cost of the trick racing fuel
and as far as a tune can i run 119 tune on my car and be safe if i switch to 116 or do i need to retune the car as well?

I've always used C16, so I don't have any comparison's to give you. I haven't had any issues with it, but it's all about the tuning anyway.

Same , i have always used C-16 , so no dice , sorry man .
but , when th motor was stock, or semi-stock , i used to very rarely put 5 or so gallons of 110 cam2 in it . it seemed to make CLEANER power across the powerband .
i will say that its all timing with fuels , IMO if you have a BUILT motor and Tuned motor , don't use anything except for what you tuned it on , ex, 119tune and run 116 , no good at all
, im currently boosting my ITR , ill have around 500 on pump gas , and like 750 on c16, and a couple more lbs of boost , hopefully
good luck --- Jared

i use nothing but tracktek 111 in my car... $4.99/gallon
the reason i use it is because they have the TT111 at the pump about a 1/4 mile from my house
and they also have 114 and 118 ocatane.
nothing but good things from this fuel!

sp00led: Sunoco purple is their "standard" 110 octane.
I am going the Sunoco blue "supreme" route... 112 octane, 7.00$ a gallon at local speed shop.
I wish there was a pump close to me with race fuel instead of the av gas a couple have.

twkdCD595, yup you are right. It's an old pump and has a 114 sticker on it but its definantly sunoco purple. Oh well, 110 seems to work like a champ for the 500-650whp range.
just wanted to mention that... I was talking sunoco fuels with a buddy yesterday who works at the shop I get my fuel from. he was telling me all the colors and whatnot cause I was debating which fuel to go with for tuning, so it was fresh on the brain.
I am playing it a little extra safe and decided on 112.

so far i have not found anywhere in the country that can beat the tracktek 111 we have at the pump here.. and i mean drive your race car right up to it and fill er up and go inside and pay. and only $4.99 the price has only change once in its lifetime. it use to be $4.59 long time ago. hell diesel is almost as expensive as the race gas now! lol.
like i said they also have 114 and 118 at the pump but dont know the prices of them...
gotta love missouri and its circle tracks..

Id like to try some of the VP oxygenated **** though, theres a hotrod guy across the way from where I dyno my car, and he was saying that they were seeing 30 WHP differences by changing nothing but fuel at the 8-900 WHP level....
Interesting...
Sunoco costs a GRIP up here for some reason... 9-10, Trick 114 is only 6.35.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i used to run some of the oxygenated race fuels in motorcycles, if you tune for the fuel you can pick up a couple extra ponies. But id be very careful about running it in a boosted setup tuned on another fuel

yeah i know c16 is the best hands down but i want to try the new q16 its supposed to be better but theres none local. Is it not safe since it has more oxygen? i would like to run some pump gas or trick for daily use cuz i cant afford vp 116 lol maybe i could use it at the track.

uhhh c16 is 117 octane....common misconception.

no they use c16 because thats what they need to use.. why would you mix it? if you dont need 117 octane then i sure as hell wouldnt be buying the most expensive race gas (c16) and mixing it to make it a lower octane. instead i would just run a lower octane race gas which was cheaper.
not trying to thread jack, but when i buy my gas, 110 unleaded i believe, they always make me sign a notebook. Literaly, nothing fancy, anyone else do this? Just wondering, i dont' really care, they can track me via my CC that i use to buy it, but just curious.

never heard of that. i drive my car up to the pump like anytime you would get gas...then pump it, and then go inside and pay for it like normal.
