Okay so i got reffed today on my stock *** 99 ek daily driver
The officer said i had "modified emissions"
Even though I havent touched the emissions since i bought it
The only thing i have done is change the mani from the y7 to the y8
So my question is will the state ref trip if i have a y8 manifold instead of the y7 manifold????????

well in your sig, you list i/h/e, intake and headers will need a carb oe #, and they may not notice the manifold, but you just have to make sure at least you have all the smog stuff thats needed

Yeah thats an obvious one, no way ima take my DC headers or my AEM intake to the ref
I was just asking about the mani, cause it takes a couple of hours to change that out and i dont wanna deal with it...
So will they even know the difference between a y7 and y8 mani?
Also will they trip if im running an OBDI ECU??, They probably will but in the slight chance that they wont im asking here...

if they have carb eo # it wouldn't matter. i had mine pass w/dc headers and an aem intake.
and just because the parts are honda oem, doesnt mean youll automatically pass that portion. thats almost comparing to throwing a vtec head on an ls bottom and saying the vtec head is honda oem so you should pass. .. which you wouldnt.
it will just depend on the tech testing your car. they may not notice little things like another honda manifold on there. i ended up having to go back quite a few times to pass, and they didn't notice my hks cam gear until the 4th time. they said i should take it off, but didnt put it in my paperwork, and i ended up going to a different place, and they didn't say anything and i still passed
