Default 00 civic si axle stuck in transmission

Long story short I my axle went bad on the passenger side and the axle came out the the piece that goes in the transmission, where the bearings go inside basically the bearing housing wont come out of the transmission, just wanting to know if anyone knows a way to get it out. I have pried and pried nothing, let me know this is my only vehicle. thanks

Yeah, giving it a "jerk" will pop it out - that's what it needs. Slow-steady pressure won't do jack if it's jammed in their good.

I know this sounds *** backwards but make your priority getting it out - and your secondary priority not damaging it. If you're too gentile with it and it's in there good - it's not going to come out. It takes a lot to [freak] it up, though, so you can usually go at it pretty hard.

how much of a grip are u getting..?? i had to use my universal jack to give me a good 2ft clearance to grab the pry bar an actually jam on that ****.... it usually takes about 5-10 pries for stubborn ones i've dealt with... sometimes even wedge that **** or have a friend hold it so i can reposition myself to use my foot an just pry hard as fawk.... not sayin ur a lil bitch or nunn just sayin sometimes when they're stubborn u gotta be more persistent..

The suggestions you are going to get haven't changed since this thread was started back in '08 so I don't know what you're expecting.

And then you don't say what you've tried.

take a half inch extension to the back of the axle and hit that bitch with a hammer and it always comes out.

4 ft pry bar with a quick sudden movement will pop it out.

i always use a hammer to hit the drivers side inner cup and use a 4ft pry bar on the passenger side.

this is such a easy task

I might just have to hunt down and torture the next idiot who bumps an ancient, dead thread for absolutely no reason.
