hey im new to Honda-tech and tunning so if i mess something up sorry. anyways i have a d16z5 a zc pretty much. i just bought high comp pistons for it it has bad rings so i figured to go high comp with it. im not looking for a huge performance gain or a big build up. i wanted to know if i will have to chip or tune the ecu for the pistons or what? and also anyone know the main bearing torque value i haven't been into allot of Honda's before sorry for the long post and hope i have all the info for you.

I believe with the high compression pistons that you have to retard? or advance? the timing with an adjustable cam gear, Im pretty sure it has to be retarded but I could be wrong about that.

I think thats all that has to be done if your just adding the high compression pistons.

 

yeah i knew i would have to do the advancing with the timing and i think with my application i should be fine with just doing it by the distributor for cam gear i thought it was more for after market cams idk guess ill look it up haha
