Default obd0 b16 knock sensor help

after some searching, i couldnt find a solid answer. Can I use any b16 knock sensor? I have a pw0 with b16a and am having trouble finding a knock sensor. I also noticed the newer b16a3's and such have a different connector. was wondering if I can just get one of those and splice the connectors. Thanks for the help!

i may be wrong, but i think the newer knock sensor would work if you splice the plug

all as in all b-series? or all as in all-series? I read somewhere that b16 and b18 knock sensors are "tuned differently". but it wasn't clearly stated how and why. Thank for the help so far

You can use an integra ls knock sensor. What makes you sure that its the knock sensor also? Is it pinging?

the cel throws the code for knock sensor. I first checked for wire continuity and it was good. my last assumption would be knock sensor failure. what do you think? thanks for help

check ignition timing, if it's too advanced then the the car will ping and if the pinging is excessive it will throw a code. If timing is good then try to replace it to see if its better. All your knock sensor does is send a signal to the ecu to retard timing to prevent pinging.

Jump the service connecter then use a timing light to check the ignition timing.
