Please don't call me stupid but i cleaned my egr and thought everything was going good until i drove it a day and smelled gas. Took the rail back off and found two oinched o-rings. Please don't tell me i have to buy the whole injector to get these!! i have heard you can't use regular rubber but looked at napa on line and they didn't show anything. Surely echlin or somebody has a o-ring that can be used!!

 

You can buy replacement o rings. I got some from Autzone. Let me see if i can find one online. Do you have a kragen nearby? what year also? and im guessing a 4cyl.

1994 v-tech. i have a carquest near surely if autozone has them then carquest will - i hope a part number would be nice!! thank you. i found them. 22.99 for a set of 4 - OUCH. now tell me whats the secret to not pinch them this next time!

I use silicone grease on them, then make sure they are all pointed correctly as you get the fuel rail started on.

 

Yea same price for autozone. I heard people using light coat of vaseline to lube the o rings. So no friction is put on the rubber. Partsamerica aka Kragen has the kit for $17. Kragen can go by other names. Not sure in your state. http://www.partsamerica.com/Pr...80308

 

Make sure to install the injectors into the rail first
