Default itr intake manifold on B18b

Does anyone have a itr manifold on their b18b?
If so, what modifications will I need to make it
work, and how much will its cost?

i have the ITR manifold on my B18B head.........

it can be modified to fit the head. a good machine shop should be able to do it but you might be better off just buying a skunk2 manifold which is already made to fit that head!

probably be a little cheaper in the end unless you can get the ITR manifold for like 50 bucks........

Thanks for the quick response.
Well, I figured its worth the time
since I got the manifold for free from a
friend.
So how much am I looking at as far as $ goes
and what needs to be modified?
I believe it is the top bolt and coolant passage.
Is this correct?

free is the best price!

i ended up paying about 150 bucks at my local machine shop to have it modified......

it is the center hole of the manifold that needs to be drilled to fit the LS head and the coolant passage needs to be modified too.....

i ended up bringing a spare LS head to the machine shop as well so they could line it up perfectly..............but i guess you can get away with bringing them a new LS intake manifold gasket and have them match it up to that........

check out this artical about the whole modification process:
http://www.overboost.com/story.asp?id=85

it's to bad they removed the full size pictures.......you only see the small thumbnail pics now......

non-VTEC,
Another question.
Do you think it was worth the trouble?
HOw much gain did you experience and did
it kill any low end?

it's worth it........

it brings the peak torque lower and makes more peak power higher in the RPM band.......there is a slight drop in midrange power but the high-end power makes up for it........

if you plan to do some heavy modifications (cams, head porting) this manifold will work really well............

In the meantime, I have a skunk2 manifold for your LS for sale if you dont go through with the ITR manifold. You can PM me if you're interested.
