Default Just got a Prelude. A few questions on current equipment and subs.

So I just picked up a 97 Prelude.

1) The rear speakers are Blapunkt Vx693. All the information I have found say they are 6"x9", which I know they aren't, and you can see from the pictures they aren't. So why is this?

2) I know the Prelude has a stock amp, but can't seem to find the specs for it anywhere. I want to know if the amp or head unit is putting out more power so I know which will offer the best sound.

3) Does anyone have a current sub setup in their prelude? (pics) I'm thinking of doing a fiberglass box on both sides behind the wheel wells, but wanting to see what you guys have done.

That's all for now, thanks.

I don't think your car is powered by both. If I had to guess, I would say that it's powered with the amp, since you said the car came with a stock amp. I could be wrong though.

Either way, they're both stock. I don't think you're gonna get that much out of them.

I'm thinking he has an aftermarket head unit (never actually said the HU was stock). Obviously the amp would powering the speakers if it was a stock HU or else there wouldn't be a stock amp.

As far as the specs on the amp, you might have to find a Prelude specific forum and ask them. I tried doing a quick Google search and noting came up at first but if you kept searching you could probably find it.
