Sunday Race video Road Atlanta H2 civic
heres my slowness. i had my tail between my legs in T1 and 12 for some reason this time. Maybe hitting the wall the last time was there had alittle to do with it
I went only 6 tenths faster. I need some new springs and shocks to get the car to feel right and for me to feel comfortable. fun stuff!

Going to watch the video now.
On the suspension, some guy on here has a set of koni RACE shocks and springs for sale for 1,000. That is a pretty good deal.

</TD></TR></TABLE>yeah! great job bosco on your 1st weekend in the Delsol. I saw you check your mirror after the bump to see who was knocking on your back door. i didnt want to go to either side because i knew the Cobra and 350Z were gonna come up fast, so i just stayed inline and hoped everyone was gonna go

setup is 6 year old Ground Controls with KYB AGX's 300F 400R. I just got some 450's from a buddy for free but dont know if thats enough for the front or rear. Im in the market for a suspension.

go to user "6spdKEG" post in that thread. He has a good set up for sale, for cheap. IMO the rates are still too low but would be a huge improvement from your setup.

I would get 600lbs/ich to 800lbs/ich for the front, and 750lbs/ich to 1200lbs/ich for the rear. ...and some good shocks that can handle the stiff springs.
PS. I wish my car was ready to race, I can't wait to get back out there with the HC guy!!

You should put that $75 Mastercard to use

Shane, do you have a hard time getting the car to turn in? I heard a lot of lifts just on corner entry on corners that you shouldn't have needed to slow down at all for. Only thing I can think is an entry push that you're overcoming with a lift.
Looked good! A couple questions, any reason not to use curbing coming out of the esses at the top of the hill? And why no heel and toe? Just curious if there is a reason
very cool!
thanks for posting.
stupid noob question: I thought H2 cars were supposed to be faster than spec miatas? or does that just depend on the track?
I figured similar weight, and the H2 car has 80 hp over the Miata, it ought to be all Honda, no?
just asking, not dissing your race or anything...

You'll find that in any given race class there is a pretty wide range of car prep levels and driver experience/talent. Saying one class is "faster" than another is really only in theory. In theory, however, you are correct that a fully prepped H2 car should generally be faster than a fully prepped SM.

No doubt. That did not seem like a little hit. That must have left a mark. Was it a total divebomb or did you just not see him and turned down on him?
Edit: It seems like you could really use a downshift on the last turn before the back straight. It looks like your tach is reading about 4500 at the exit of that turn and the b16 isn't making any torque down there to pull off that corner. Given the length of that straight, it seems like there's a lot of time to be gained by getting off of that corner well.

Also some of those "spec" miatas are running > $10K engines that put out some good power.

H2 cars DO NOT have 80 HP over a SM
An SM will put down between 115-125whp.
A stock B16a will put down maybe 130-140whp. with around 95-105ft/tq
