Default ETD service

As most of you remember I am sure from last week I had posted a thread about the traction bars I had recieved and ETD's especially John's lack to take care of me. So here is what has transpired since. On Thursday John sent me an email after 3 days of waiting on him (may I remind you that during the 3 days the last thread was running) and said that if I had just waited ONE more day I would of found that he was going to take care of me. But then he started getting emails with the last thread in it. If he had been more proactive I wouldn't have gone and posted it in the first place. And how odd that after he gets whim of the thread he suddenly emails me back and tells me how uncool it was of me to post that thread. Lets talk about uncool. A shop owner hears of an issue rather than try to resolve it says, "just go ahead and use, should work fine." Tells me its normal. And then after I get other opinions and I let him know, he immediately get defensive and cusses me. UNPROFESSIONAL written all over it. So lets talk about being "uncool" shall we. Also in his email he asked me what I wanted him to do, I said I was pretty open but really wanted my money back since Tony stepped up to help a brother out. That was on Thursday, everyday since I have sent him emails saying that I am here waiting for him and he has not responded, has not taken my calls. That all started as of Thurday. TALK ABOUT UNCOOL SSERVICE!

To me it tells the drag race community what company or people to stay away from. We are mostly consumers and we always need the RIGHT PARTS like yesterday. When you get the wrong part or a bad part it throws everything off especially when it comes to getting a car together for a particular race or event. He's informing us of who to stay away from if we don't want to lose out on money, time, and patience.

I can tell you that he was out of the country this past weekend with his wife, and probably why you have not heard anything yet.

Actually - The funny thing is that he was supporting the US economy this past weekend with his wife.

I was also in the US with my girlfriend shopping up a storm in Buffalo, NY and therefore we were not working on any traction bar stuff.

Thanks for your support. I remember when we used to go to Canada and it was like getting extra money for free. How times change.

Back on topic, I'm sure some of you have been following rota92's build. He has had issues over the years and in recent times with follow members, but has not posted anything about the problem until a while after the issue has been around.

We realize that we are not the only people on the planet that company X deals with. I'm sure most of the owners of shops have all gone though the same issues with there business. Remember this is a fairly small community and we need to help ourselfs.

The advertisers on this Forum as well as members relay on each other for support.
When ever someone ask rota or I where to buy something from, we reccomend they buy from the members of this site.

It won't always go your way, but if you talk it out and give it time, most things work out in the end.

While I 100% agree with you, Did you fail to read the Original response that was sent to this customer? Look at the previous thread. I work for a very large company and understand fully that it takes time and most especially patience to get a problem resolved, but If I had a company respond the way they did a week ago - (email was posted in the original thread) then I would have been floored. I understand that there are always 3 sides to a story and the OP may have said a few things to the company that "itched" them the wrong way- but for them to send a response the way they did is completely out of line. (again i am talking about the original response not the one in this thread) In any business the customer should be satisfied and If i was sent a response the way the OP was i would have blasted them out as well

Yes I read the other thread, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

May be this thread can end different. No one is perfect.

Well i can honestly that if I ever had an issue with a ETD product they were always there to fix the problem. Great guys to deal with.

For what it's worth I ordered a radiator bracket kit from them last week. I got it Monday of this week. Given the time it takes to get from West coast to the East coast I'd say they got my stuff out ASAP. I have not had a problem, but this is a bit of defense on their behalf.

It sounds like both parties could have handled this situitation better.

I hope it all works out you you.

The funny thing really is that all his emails always come from his blackberry. Let me guess he couldn't spare 3 minutes just to let me know he was working on it. Your not making a believer out of me dude. The dude is blowing me off and that sfine but I want to make sure that anyone that buys from him knows what they are in for if they bring a problem to the man. A whole lot of nothing.

Ummm ETD is Toronto Ontario Canada, not the west coast.

This thread is locked as this is not the forum to air dirty laundry. The OP and ETD can come to their own conclusions in private, it doesn't need to be aired publicly
