sometimes when im at a light, or parking the car in the garage.. i get this weird rattling noise comming from under the dash... It happens when im in D4 and on the brake... It happens when the A/C is on and off... any ideas of whats movin around under there?

could be ur fan assembly. Minews doing it really bad, sumtimes it rattles and other times it just sqeuks.

 

i was messing around today, and i think my idle is too low...

the car idles below 500rpm in park, d4 and in neutral... when i give it some gas and raise the idle to around 700rpm the rattle goes away.

 

man thats a pretty low idle, but yea that could def be it

 

i got a pic of if on my phone, the needle sits barely above the 2nd line....

 

ok now its comming from the drivers side. so the blower motor theory is out

here is a vid. its getting really nasty now.
i cleaned my iacv the other day, and it went away for two days. but my iacv is goin bad, so my idle is fluctuating




what do ya'll think????

 

Hmmm...How about raising the idle up a bit??

 

i fixed it. my alarm siren was resting on my IACV.. thus transfering engine vibrations to the fire wall

 

mine rattles rite above the glovebox

 

i have that too. but its not crazy lous. so it dont bother me. chek your blower motor...

me too its annoying man . idk what it is!

 

if not , check the ecu bracket,and the air boxes behing the glove box, aswell as the passenger air bag ( if u have 1)

 

bro put it like this i tried everything i even took the whole dash out and put it back together . so i said fukc it thanks tho good luck with yours

 

the rattle on the passenger side doesnt bother me. I always have the radio on, so i dont hear it. the one under the driver side was louder than the music, thats why i wanted to get it fixed so bad

 

try to take your whole dash of and see whats up

 

im too lazy to do that.
