The saga continues .. where is the main relay?
For those that have helped me so far, thanks a bunch. Here is the story .. when my 90 crx wouldn't start I thought it might be the starter because the engine wasn't turning over. Starter is okay. Then I thought it might be the distributor. That is fine. Now with some suggestions and reading I've been listening for the tell tale click when you first turn the key to the ON position (which means the fuel pump is turning on for 2 seconds, then off again in order to build some fuel pressure). Sometimes I get the click, sometimes I don't ... I'm assuming now there is a problem with the main relay. When I get the click (indicating fuel pressure) the car will start, and when I hear no click, you got it, nada. I've read that you can take the main relay out and redo the soldered connections, but I can't seem to find the darn thing underneath the dash. I can hear the clicks put just can't place where it is exactly. Help!
I replaced mine. It cost like $35 or so from the dealer. Cheap for a part that commonly goes out in our cars but should last another 10 years.
BTW it is a bitch to get at. I don't think I re-bolted mine up, just left it hanging.

I had some of the same problems. I even took my starter out and had it tested and it past at an O'Reilly's and an Autozone. Still didn't work. I bought a '98 GSR one for my B16 and it started working. I guess since no load of the flywheel was on it the testers at those stores weren't that great of an indicator.
I'll probably buy a new main relay for the sake of not waiting til mine goes out.
