Default help!!! do u have this obd1 conversion harness?

hopefully someone here has this same obd0-obd1 harness, ive gone through hell trying to find out who makes it so i can get the instructions. maybe i just suck at searching, but i could only find it on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...:1123 i sent all the sellers of this harness a message asking if they could email/fax me the instructions or at the very least let me know who makes it. well, one guy said he would fax them to me, but it never happened, so im hoping someone here has this same one and could help me out. i figured as much of it out as i could through a obd1 ecu pinout, but some wires jump off a couple of other wires, so w/o the instuctions this is impossible for me to hook up. im on a running on a dead line and cant buy another harness, any help would be appreciated. if any of u wiring gurus wanna give it a shot i can post what color wire i have to hook up and thier pin #...

Post the pin numbers for the wires that you do not know about. There should only be afew wires you are confused on. I just got done doing my dpfi to mpfi / obd0 to obd1 and made all my own harnesses, so I can probably help you with it.

Yea, It's not the Rywire as I have just bought the same one. It's probably some company in Japan but it will work, just let these guys on here help you there very experienced.

sorry about the bad pics my camera wont come on so I used my camera phone.

<U>PreOBD to OBD1 ECU Conversion Harness Instructions</U>

<U>ADDITIONAL PARTS NEEDED</U>

Some additions plugs may be required, such as the OBD-1 or OBD-2 distriburoe plugs and the 4-wire O2 sensor plug. Other plugs, such as the VTEC solenoid plug, VTEC pressure switch plug and knock sensor plug may be required, depending on what ECU and engine you are running. It is recommended to use the original OBD-1 plugs for a cleaner installation. If you are unable to locate the plugs, you may splice directly in the existing plugs.

<U>INSTALLATION NOTES</U>

IAB is only used on certain engines and only looked for by certain ECU's (P72 & P13). For all other applications it is not required.

SCS is used to check for the sensor codes. A toggle switch can be placed between the YLW wire and BLK wire, or directly to a ground source. If you choose this option, keep the YLW wire covered so it does not make contact with anything that may activate the SCS.

IGP and PG (power and ground) connections are only recommendations and active locations on the ECU. other locations may be used.

<U>NOTES</U>

Some ECU's including both USDM and JDM, may not require all the connections listed above, as extra sensors are not used for a particular engine.

Please note that some sensors were already changed to simplify the installation of a new OBD-1 or OBD-2 distributor. CKP-P with CYP-M wires have already been color matched to the OBD-0 wires.

<U>END</U>

That all of the instructions that came with mine. Good Luck I hope this helped.

ok the instructions would be sweet! and yea it was just a couple i wasnt sure what to do with. like this pink one@ B1, red (ign+)@ A25, and wanted to be sure that i just put one of the vtec pressure sensor pins to ground (guess i could have looked that one up ) that and it would be handy to have the instructions in hand in case i need them again, lol, always loose the instructions and then need them later

This harness is a cheap but I was surprised as to how good it was put together. The wiring on my swap took 30min and thats with a full wire tuck and a load of wires on my passenger floor board. Only problem I ran into with the wiring was I was getting really tired and forgot the knock sensor, and wired the Vtec solenoid to the wrong color.

Mine was from streetlightz on ebay.

i got this same harness and im wondering if i can just plug in the conversion harness to the new ecu and to the car and should be able to crank??? or what is the minimum wires i can hook up to atleast crank the car???

and what does this mean???
IGP and PG (power and ground) connections are only recommendations and active locations on the ECU. other locations may be used.

It should crank but it will throw codes at you and run really bad.

IGP is the power for your O2 sensor and IAB. You can use the red power wire from the harness(I recommend this) or use a switched power source.

PG is the ground for yellow wire with will trip the codes to flash when connected together. and also the ground for you o2 wire. You can also just ground the sensors out to a good source or use the black wires from the harness.(I recommend)

as soon as i turn the key to the run position i start getting a code 22, and it wont start. i was told the ecu had a type r map, so i clipped the j1 jumper to run the stock program and same thing happens.

none of the wires are hooked up, just plugged it all up.

code 22 is for vtec pressure valve. It will run with or without that hooked up mine is right now. You got something else going on.

just tried the ecu in my eg and it fires right up just fine. so i know the ecu is good.

engine runs perfect with the pm6 ecu, but its a z6 so i wanna run the p28.

i dont see how any of the single wires would make it not run either.

i bet the conversion harness is junk even though its brand new. why else would i get codes without jumping the connector.
