Default airbags

picked up a 99 civic ex coupe for a grand. needs airbags, a windshield and a little body work. everything is done but the airbags. i have a a driver and passenger airbag ready to go but i dont want to screw it up.

If i unhook the battery and plug the airbags in... will they be good to go once i hook the battery up again? is there anything im forgetting?

nope, you're golden.

Just make sure the battery is undone for about 15 minutes prior to playing with the airbags for good measure.

one other question though. for another project car ill be doing soon. i have the airbag delete tray for the passenger side. if i hook up the driver side bag.... and not the passenger. will it still work or do they only work in sync?

IIRC, if the driver's is removed, the passenger' side will not work. I do think the driver's will operate without the passenger', but you might get an airbag light.

Can someone else chime in?

sounds logical. itd be convenient to have the option to turn it off like alot of cars. then i could just turn it off and maybe it wouldnt know if there was an airbag anyways
