hey guys i wanna ditch my HKS muffler for a black es tuning muffler. what do you think? i was looking at the ES tuning muffler and it looks like it sits under the bumper for an EM1 and other applications.
wouldn't this melt the bottom portion of the bumper? i ask this b/c when my hks was beneath the bumper it was slowly burning it up and paint started to chip away slowly til i moved it frwrd a lil

 

It depends where the muffler is located, since the ES tuning muffler is for universal applications, you will have to locate it where the exhaust isnt directed towards the bumper.

 

I had an ES Tuning muffler on my EM1, it didn't really come out that far. I had a piece of piping cut at an angle welded on to extend it. Was no where close to the bumper before and after the extension.

 

when you extended the muffler to make the tip come out was the oval part of the muffler touching the bottom of the bumper?
i had to cuz a lil piece of my bumper to make the hks tip come out enough so the smoke wouldn't hit the bumper or make it black
