Default K&N Filter w/ Stock elbow intake v. Short Ram

I am planning on buying a new intake but i do not know which one is better. A RU-2820 with the stock elbow or lets say an AEM short ram. Which one gives better performance as well as pros and cons for both. Thanks for your help i am kind of new to all of this.

if yur talking about this i would say do it.its cheaper to buy a filter than a sri.but if your going for looks then buy the sri.having a sri doesnt make much of a difference in performance.A CAI is better because more air goes in it because of the place were the CAI is but the only thing.a CAI intake is more likely to suck up water when it rains and a SRI has less of a chance.if you want you can buy a ebay one or make your own

yeah get a k&n so you can clean it, i had a neuspeed connected to an elbow and once it got dirty i got really bad gas mileage. now i got my stock on with a drop in replacement, couldn't effort anything at the time and still can't

get any ebay brand. i dont think the pipes make a difference. maybe just a difference in sound, but all you really need is a good filter.
ebay intake - $30
K&n filter - $30-$50
