Default My 10 sec. kseries quest

just finished our k20 turbo setup this winter and when the track opens we are going out shooting for mid/high 10sec. slips. This is my first turbo setup but I've been drag racing all motor/nitrous cars for a while. I'm trying to get an idea of what this thing will run I would love to go 10.50's

Gt3582r
93 eg 2300lb + - 20lbs. w/ driver
24.5x8.5x13 m&h slicks on lensos
skunk2 coilovers on kyb agx struts
dss 2.9 axles

13psi the car made 498whp 326tq. on a dynapack

I'm trying to figure out if there is anything else that I should do before the track opens. Not sure if my suspension is stiff enough for this kind of power. It did good when the car was all motor.

at that weight a 10 sec pass shouldent be a problem, there are many guys on here that have been deep in with less power than that.

run it and keep us updated, nice and clean BTW

I'd get a new pair of slicks if they have been sitting over winter unless you stored them right. I know thats a big mistake a lot of people make.

Got a traction bar? I'm not sure if your asking for advice or last minute what else do I need to improve... I'd just focus on your 60fts

make sure you have adequate clutch, like at least a twin disc. very different that driving an all motor car, since engine revs much much quicker and you have to shift without even waiting for rpms to hit shiftline.

I just had my new slicks mounted yesterday on new lensos. I had an old set of slicks but they were really old. I do not have a traction bar yet but I probably will grab one before I go to the track. Last season on motor I pulled high 1.7 60ft.'s with the same suspension but older 24.5'' slicks.

I am looking for some advice as I've never raced a boosted car at the track before. Should I use my 2step to build boost at the line or should I just feather into it so I don't spin as bad?

I fit up a set of 25x8.7 on it last year and I had to run with no bumper. 24.5 will clear. No matter what I have to shift into 5th because on 24.5's @ 8400rpm max speed in 4th is 122mph< at least I'm hoping to go faster than that.

You should be able to accomplish your goal no problem , we ran 11.0@126 last year with 407hp on our K-series on 10lbs but the clutch was not holding so as long as you have a good clutch and you drive it like you stole it you should not have a problem ! Good luck on your goal !

I personally not too impressed with the AGX's I would put them on 4 all way around still feels kinda mushy may want to try the skunk2 pro series adjustables

If you are using Kpro to control ur bc, I would set up anti-lag, play with launch limiter. Start with 11psi tire pressure and work your way down and a nice 3rd gear burnout to warm them up.

I like the suspension for the street but I don't think it will be stiff enough for this kind of power. I'm gonna see how it goes with these first and if it looks like it's squatting to bad then I'll change them.

I have perrin solenoid but we are just running off the wastegate right now 13psi no creep. Some people have said not to launch off the 2step and some said do it so I may try not at first and then try a pass on it to see what it feels like. When I do a 3rd gear burnout should I hold the ebrake or just roll right out of it? always done 2nd gears but they just don't seem to do a whole lot from not building enough speed.
