TSX MPG.....
We get around 25-28 city and 30-33 highway and when we drove from Arkansas to Washington I was driving a moving truck and my wife in the TSX and at times she was getting over 40mpg..Our car also is a auto.
I drove from Long Beach to sacramento and got 26mpg. Mines is auto as well. I was doing 80-90 mph with 2 passenger. How i calculate it was fill the gas tank. Then I took the total miles driven divided by how many gallons it took to refill the tank. Ohh i drive a 2006 tsx.
Alot will depend on your driving style.
I can easily get 20 - 25 m.p.g. in the city, and in the +35 m.p.g. just cruising on the freeway (crusie control is my friend).
You can look in my garage for car details... https://honda-tech.com/gara...=4411

i have a lead foot and i still get 300-350 miles to the tank (14 gallons i think) the gas milage does not compare to my previous 4 cyl, 98 dodge neon, wich got 400 miles on 7 gallons, but i cant resist all the attention from the asian wemon lol.

Base model? TSX's get everything standard (except for navi). Now if you were to say base model BMW, you get a stripped down car.
I get 26 mpg with very aggressive driving (always flooring it, staying in lower gears to keep my RPM's near 4.5k).
My previous commute was 14 mpg I think, but keep in mind that it was all-city, 4-mile commutes with lots of traffic and long red lights. I spent more time crawling and stopped.
On vegas trips, I get like 36+ mpg. About 360 non-stop highway miles at 90+ mph for about 75% of the trip.
As for that neon mentioned above...i think the owner didn't know his car. According to http://www.epinions.com/content_96930795140 , the neon has a 12 gallon tank on which he would get 400 miles all highway (no city). With city miles, I think it'd be worse.

I have had my '04 TSX for 9 days now. On the first tank, I got 26 MPG. On this tank I drove from Dallas (where I bought it) to Oklahoma City. The guys I bought it from filled the tank with 87 octane and said that it wouldn't be a problem. I said "whatever because it was free gas. I kept it between 80-110 mph on this trip mostly. On the second tank, it was almost all city driving and 91 octane gas and I got about 20 MPG. On the third tank, I got 91 octane again and it was almost all highway driving at 80-90 mph generally, and I got 29 MPG. It seems that you could get the best mileage if you drove 55-60 without stops with the way it is geared, at that speed, I would say mid to upper 30s would be likely. I hope this is helpful.
