Default OEM steering wheel removal and install question

My 94 EX steering wheel is a little bit soft at the top, so i have been wanting to replace it. Well, i found a 97 EX coupe in the junkyard with a perfect steering wheel. From what i can gather, the wheels are exactly the same minus the airbag (obd1 in the 94, obd2 in the 97). i am using the airbag that came with my car so that will not be a problem

my question is, what steps should i take to remove the airbag? disconnect the battery? will the airbag ECU reset itself when i put it all back together? I dont want an airbag going off in my face!!!!

that sux! so they changed the shaft diameter from obd1 to obd2? I thought for shure it was the same wheel, just different air bag(same size though).

I cant find a good 94-95 steering wheel at the junk yard to save my life!
