Default motor refresh

Question for you Honda heads out there...I'm gonna re-adjust the valve last on my d16y5, put on a new valve cover gasket, new plug tube seals, and seafoam the motor once again....and I'm gonna switch over to castrol syntec from gtx high mileage(5-30)....motor curently has like 154,000 on it....pretty healthy, runs strong, but my clearances are probably nowhere what they used to be but I cant make up my mind on which weight to use...5 or 10 thirty...I'm over here in Pa, so any reason I should use 10w30 synthetic instead? thanks

Default Re: motor refresh (spray_bombed)

there are so many speculations and opinions out there of what oil to use depending on weather, driving conditions, etc. I have used just conventional valvoline 10w30 and its worked great for me. I might be biased but it just looks cleaner when it comes out of the bottle and seems so stay cleaner longer.
