Default 97 civic ex what parts will boost performance?

just got a 97 civic ex, it has a d16y7 engine and a d16y8 trans

i was just looking for things to boost the performance of the y7 engine and about how much it will run me.

i know i can do a mini me swap but got no idea where to find a y8 head, ive heard i should replace the valve train but what can i put in that will be better than what i have.
a friend said a new camshaft wont do anything and i have future plans to turbo it so i was told i should get new fuel injectors and pump and new spark plugs.

Turbo would be your best bet. And yes you will need new injectors and a different set of spark plugs. Do some searching and youll find tons of information on D series turbo setups.

if you have an EX you should have a D16y8.. but far be it from me to question that. you have a lot of research to do and i for one am not going to give you any answers on D-series performance and or turbo tips when i doubt youve bothered to run a search!

The only real bang for the buck is nitrous, turbo, or supercharging. Its not going to be worth the money to buy anything else. So just save your money until its time for the turbo.
