5th gen shifting problem
So here is my problem, its kind of hard to explain but i will do my best. I was getting onto the freeway one day and all of the sudden my gears became springy kind of like a clutch. The normal clicking into a gear was gone but i can still put it into gear but know its hard to tell if it is in gear because there is no click. It does not pop out of gear which i was originally worried about. The only gears that feel springy are the top 3(1st, 3rd, and 5th) while the bottom (2nd, 4th and reverse) are normal. One thing that just started happing is my 5th gear is hard to put in gear. I only can put it into gear at lower revs roughly 2500 and below, but when i am at anything higher i push in the gear as far as it goes then I let off the clutch and it grinds as if im not in far enough into the gear this only happens to the 5th gear. It feels as the the 5th gear "click" (dont know what its called) has been pushed up, where you would normaly have about an inch or two of play after you put it in gear and now i have about a quarter of play. The throw length of the gear is the same but now i have to push it farther to get into gear. I hope this is clear, if not ask any questions and ill try to answer as best as i can. Sorry for the long story. Thanks for any advice.
