Default sorry fellas...

but I have left the honda "scene"
I was so close to buying either a 2008 civic si coupe or a 2008 vw gti but I just couldn't resist getting a mazdaspeed 3. They were practically the same price and the MS3 is in a completely different class than those other cars in almost every aspect. I'm having so much fun with this car, it's definitely one of the best things I've ever spent money on. Here are some quick pics I took over the weekend, please excuse the dirt.

I'm lovin the torque this thing makes, definitely not used to that.

i work at a mazda dealer as a tech, these are great cars, the most "fixed" up one ive seen came in last week, it had front mount intercooler, 3 inch full exhaust with no pre cats, sounded like a beast!

id get one if i made more money!, only problem so far with them has been a motor mount recall

btw: what camera do you use?

I think a lot of people would probably say the Mazdaspeed is at least as good looking as the Si and GTI. Not to mention those cars would have to be quite a bit better looking to come close to covering that performance gap.

oh well.... you'll be back.
You probably never been in anything that is faster then this (that's why you bought it) but once you got used to the new speed/power in your new car it will feel as slow any of your old rides. You'll be back for sure.

I'm sure I'll pick up a project once I get a new job. I've been in much faster cars than this but since I didn't own them and daily drive them it doesn't feel the same. I wanted a brand new car for under $25k and this is basically the best overall, in my opinion.

it weighs around 3000 with the sport model which I have. I think the grand touring is a 100 or so pounds more because of the options. it feels much lighter however and the handling is very responsive.
