problems wit carburator on stock 1.5 motor!
I don't believe your is that same as the carb I just rebuilt but....
I have a 79 Accord 1800 CVCC . I beleive you've got a Float adjustment / Needle valve issue. Mine was doing much the same thing. If you want to do it the cheap way my Float adjustment cartridge and needle valve was available from NAPA for $ 15.95 each. I wouldn't suggest trying to do it on the car. I lost one of the little springs on the Needle valve and could never find it. Most carb fuel bowls can be accessed by removing the top cover. There is about 10 screws and a couple of C-Clips (JESUS Rings) to remove. The floats are adjusted by bending a little tab on the float itself. I would try the needle valve first. Mine has rubber tips that were deformed. The entire Cab kit cost $ 40.00 and came with a paper gauge to measure the float adjustment.
Good Luck !
P.S. Why do I call them "JESUS Rings" ?
Cause when you try and pull them off they go flying and you yell "JESUS" LOL
