Default Insurance Co. being a pain! Help needed

My 97 Type R was stolen over a month ago.

They originally offered about 6k......

Then I found a few adds of other 97 Type R's. None of them were under 16k.

I sent them pictures of the car, ads, and info on the Type R also.

They came back and said that the cars for sale needed to be within a 50 mile radius, but they did bump the value up to 7k

Now I need to go the appraisal route. I need to hire one and they will too. Hopefully the appraisers will agree, otherwise a 3rd party will be thrown into the mix.

I just want to get a fair claim for replacement value and the insurance co. is trying to rip me off.

I tried contacting onyx00 to get the info on the appraiser he used, but no word from him yet. Does anyone have the appraiser's info or could anyone recommend a appraiser that knows the value of a type R?

50 mile radius is pure bullshit.

ask them how they can expect you to find a car within 50 miles when your entire country only got 320 of them, 11 years ago....

Yea for real man.. That is TOTAL BS! You need to show them the stats on the ITR, how many were made, how many in that year, and about 15 for sale advertisements in the 14-16k range. If this gets worse after the appraisal, I'd get a lawyer and scare them to death.
