block off heat!
im trying to close off the coolant passages that are running from the engine to the firewall and i want to know how to do this. are there plugs i can buy to put on the engine? im trying to take the heater and all that stuff out of the car since im trying to lose some body fat. please help me out. im trying to find the alternative to welding the holes shut...
Ghetto but it worked for my friend, just cutted the hose where it came off the block, left about 1 1/2" of hose, then plugged the hose with a bolt then clamped it tight.
i would think that you would be able to get plugs to fit those holes. alot of people say that home depot has a selction of plugs. hey all motr teg, is cutted even a word? thats like breasteses. lol. j/k
no exp with a teg but i just had to do this to my vette yesterday since the heater core took a dump and created this huge steam cloud in the interior. normally what a guy does is take a small piece of plastic or copper barbed pipe and connect the two hoses that ran to the heater core creating a bypass. this keeps the cooling system doing what it is supose to and lets a guy pull the heater and all the crap up there.
