Default Race Cars are so much damn work

I spent the last few months getting this car ready for a 150 lap enduro race..
and look what my co-driver does
(in all fairness.. he wrecked it.. we fixed it. then. I blew up the tranny and motor) we came in 41st out of 50 completeing about 30 of the 150 laps

the yellow car with the napa hat on the roof
My co-driver stopped for this wreck and was rear-ended by the camaro..
on the next lap.. however he rearended someone else
.. and then 100 lap pit stop to repair body damage and cut brake line
then I got to race :

(i forget to put up my window net.. Lucky I didn't get caught up in the red flag incident that happend a few laps later... I used the red flag to put up my net.

yeah.. try being on the track with 50 other people who don't know crap about racing.. let alone racing clean
this is nascar.. and special event too... no license.. nothing but a car, entry fee, helmet, and a roll bar.

now I have to work for a few more month to strip this car and buy a new one

But you know what... It was a LOT OF FUN
It's kinda neat to be able to *lean* on a another car and shoot off the corner!

You could never do that in IT or auto-x or HPDE

I seriously have to find one of those NAPA hats for my yellow teg! I would love to see the race directors face while I pull into the pre-grid...

My friend (and sponsor) buys all his parts from napa ... he has a good relationship with them.. so we got a hook up with the Hat
