Sorry if i'm a little behind the news. But for all thoes interested I heard that lime rock race track was going to be repaved this summer. I don't know if this is true or not, but it would explain why my track day got canceled. I'll be keeping an eye on ALMS i'm guessing it will be done by the time they get there. It definatly did need it though

 

It should be done around may then. Speed world challenge is scheduled somewhere in the 20's in may.

 

They are scheduled to start moving dirt on May 27, pave the first week of June, and then let it sit 3-4 weeks and get the track back open early July. Based on how the contractors I've dealt with work, they may start on time but don't get your hopes up for July. Plus it all depends greatly on what the weatherman decides to send their way.

 

American LeMans will be there on 7/11. You can be certain it'll be done by then, afterall that is the primary reason they're finally doing the repave.

 

Maybe this is old news, but I just heard about the repaving. The repaving includes a new pit-in under the bridge at West Bend, lots of new paved runoff areas, and most importantly, a 2nd track configuration that is significantly slower than the current configuration (both configurations are available to the event organizers).
