ok, my buddy has a 99 ex that was an auto, but he swapped a manual in, changed the computer to a manual computer, added a manual iacv, and went to obd1 instead of 2 so he could get a chipped ecu. before he did the conversion if it was cold outside, the car would barely run. it would chop like it had the meanest set of cams you ever heard and once it warmed up it would be fine. now the idle changes and searches constantly and when it gets warm it will bog and be really weak until it gets to about 2500-3500 and then it acts better but it still isnt right. and if your driving down the road you cant just hold it at a certain rpm because it still changes constantly. we have checked and rechecked everything, no vacuum leaks, good iacv, and we didnt change the tps, so what the heck? could the tps have gotten messed up or could it be different between obd1 and 2? what the heck?! help us out please with any ideas! thanks
