A few cars broke but still wound up having a full field in FWD Q8. Street tire and All motor only had 4 cars in each class but they were running pretty fast. We had ignition problems with the hatch all day but qualified 1st with a 10.40@143, ignition went out for good in the semis. Black H22 hatch from TX won the race. Race went smooth up until the oil down by Kenny Tran, took them a while to clean that up and put the race about an hour behind. All in all it was a good day and a good event, sucks that some of the cars had problems cause i think it could have been some really close racing with all of them running.

Chuck P had fuel system problems, Aldo from 1320 had clutch issues, Jason from TopNotch RGV sheared off 4th gear.. twice. Alope from San Antonio and "Ol Reliable" worked through eliminations to take home the win.

I didnt get to go far from the pits so I didnt get to see what else was going on.. It would have been nice to see all the cars act right and watch a full field of 10 second cars goin in for battle.

Id like to thank Redline for helping us get Jason's transmission together, and everyone that came out with us to try to make the show. Even through the troubles on race day, I still had a great time with some of the best friends. Thanks guys!

edit- Forgot to thank one of the most important people to make the event what it was, Cliff! Thanks for putting on the show and helping the racers out with the 200+ mile vouchers!

points will be updated soon. Waiting on the IFO web master.

As for bringing in alternates, I think Jason is right. The latter should not be rearranged. It may not be fair that an alternate takes a top qualifying position, but it seems fair that the racer who would normally have a bi races against a lower qualifier. What do you racers want with alternates for the next events? Rearrange the latter, or just fill in open spots as in?

</TD></TR></TABLE>Definately rearrange the ladder, the faster qualified cars should get the slower cars. #7 shouldn't get a slower car in the first round or the "bye" should roll to the #1 qualifier if there are no alternates.
Sorry I missed another race, maybe I'll be out soon.

I would also like to thank Kenny and Tony from Jotech for the all the help and the extra 1600's. I figure things happen for a reason(not that I agree all time)and I'll get it figured out. Even though we're all competitors everyone stepped up to help. If you were walking through the pits you didn't know which driver drove what car. Big up to St00pid, Redline, 1320 Motorsports, Jotech, Top Notch, Chang, Shami, Dan, Beaver, and big congrats to Alope for taking the win

Thanks to everyone who helped out this weekend! I was almost a no show twice this week but thanks to my dad for keeping me motivated, he said "Go your car is running good so take advantage of it". Then on the way out of SA i was cut off causing a 5 car pile up! The strap busted on the back of my race car and the car slid forward hitting my spare trans with the bumper, thus saving my intercooler.
Luckily no one was hurt i was able to make the trip.

Overall getting the win was the best thing that could have happened. Like i said before thanks to everyone who was mentioned above for making this race a memorable one!

Thanks to Redline for the help with the tranny, got a best of a 10.7 in without fourth gear. Car has the power to get into the low to mid nines but now its a matter of making this tranny hold up. New parts on the way, I just ordered them. Thanks to everyone in the above mentioned quote from Chuck P and a BIG thanks to Cliff for the +200 mile trip vouchers for all of us Texas boys. Thanks again for the great show, hope to get the car running and back at some shows soon. It was great to finally meet all you guys and know that this sport has a great atmosphere as well as great comradery between the competitors.

I won money at Horseshoe and Diamond Jacks after gazzilion pounds of crawfish, my stomach finally re-couperated as of yesterday.

Thanks to ChuckP for letting me see the tree again for the first time in almost 3 years lol
